Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Packara(“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

License Grant

Upon purchase of a Packara license ($9.99, one-time payment), we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App on up to 3 Macs that you own or control.

This license includes all future updates to the App at no additional charge.

You may not:

  • Redistribute, sublicense, or sell the App or your license key to others
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the App to build or distribute malicious software
  • Share your license key publicly or allow others to use it

Free Trial

Packara may be used free of charge for a limited trial period. During the trial, certain features may be restricted. No credit card is required to begin a trial. At the end of the trial period, you must purchase a license to continue using the App.

Payments and Refunds

All payments are processed securely by our payment provider. We offer a reasonable refund window: if you are unsatisfied with Packara within 14 days of purchase and have not used the license key in production, contact us and we will issue a refund.

After 14 days, or after significant use, refunds are at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.

License Activations

Your license may be activated on up to 3 Macs. If you need to transfer your license to a new Mac (e.g., after replacing a computer), you may deactivate it from the old machine or contact us for assistance.

Requirements

Packara requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later and Xcode Command Line Tools. You are responsible for maintaining the necessary Apple Developer account, certificates, and credentials required for code signing and notarization. Packara does not provide or manage Apple Developer accounts.

Intellectual Property

Packara and all related materials are the intellectual property of the developer. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

In particular, Packaradepends on Apple's notarization service and other external tools. We cannot guarantee the availability or behavior of those external services.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, DATA LOSS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR YOUR LICENSE.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, or if necessary, binding arbitration.
